Our Competency Units

Following the successful implementation of Competency Units (CUs) within the Temasek Engineering School several years ago, the School has recently expanded on the scope and functions of these CUs. This revision has enabled our CUs to assume a higher level of responsibility and commitment to our strategic partners.

In our new strategy, the School has initiated to move every Engineering staff and student behind these CUs. This drive and direction enable our CUs to be drivers of Staff and System Capability Development. Furthermore, these initiatives will enrich our students’ learning experiences via staff-student project collaborations. All CU Heads each leads a CU. they are in-turn supported by Principal Investigator/s [PI(s)], a core team and staff members. Students fulfill their major project requirements by undertaking projects offered by these CUs. CU projects in turn come from School, Institutions or Industrial Collaboration.

Through these structured means, the School aims to train and upgrade her Staff systematically. It also aims to provide an excellent learning support environment for her Students.
