Mobile Computing Competency Unit (MCCU)

1. ATC Data Logging and Profiling on Pocket PC

This is an industry collaboration project with SMRT. The project aims to develop a Pocket PC-based application to log the serial data from the Automatic Train Controller (ATC) to the Pocket PC. It uses RS232C serial communication for data logging, and plots Real-Time graphs to aid train performance monitoring.

2. Flexible Template Application

This is an industry collaboration project with NIE and Xishan Primary School. It helps students to reflect on the experiments and their hypothesis outside the classroom even when a teacher is not present as they are able to check their test against the questions given by their teachers. Students can take photos and compare the data they have collected using line chart and bar chart. After which, students can generate findings and capture them in html reports.
