Diploma in Aerospace Engineering (T51)

Dear Future Students in 2013,

If you want to passionately pursue a professional career or further studies in aerospace engineering, this diploma distinguishes from the rest by giving you the best possible training in knowledge and skills.

Download our Diploma in Aerospace Engineering (JAE Code T51) flyer now!

We are the first diploma course in Singapore to be certified by CAAS as a SAR-147 organization to train Licensed Aircraft Engineers (LAE). Our curriculum covers 55% of the LAE training, which will shorten the time to become a LAE when you join this industry. You will be the second batch of students to have this opportunity to have this head start in your diploma.

Our training is backed up by experience and quality. Since 2008, TP has partnered Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT) to bring 60 years of experience into the curriculum. Every aerospace student in TP will be attached to LTT for aerospace practical training and offered opportunity for study trip to Europe. Upon graduation, you will receive an additional LTT certification that will give you an edge in any aerospace organization.

Our curriculum begins with strong fundamentals in mathematics, mechanical and electronics competency to widen your career choices and further study aspirations. As you progress into aerospace specialization, you will study subjects that are related to SAR-66 and aerospace applied research. Many of our pioneering batch of aerospace students have enrolled in local universities NUS, NTU, SIT and SUTD and overseas ones with advanced standing.

As the only polytechnic nearest Changi Airport, Seletar Aerospace Hub and major aerospace companies, we are strategically located for final semester attachment to aerospace organizations, so that you can seamlessly join the industry before graduation. Currently we have partnered more than 15 major aerospace companies including SIAEC, ST Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, Hawker Pacific, Eurocopter and MAJ Aviation for this unique internship.

Students aspiring to be a pilot have several paths to realize their dream. They can sign up with the Singapore Youth Flying Club obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL) or join the Aeromodelling Club to learn how to design, build and fly RC aircrafts. They can also join our unique Flying Programme, opened to suitable aviation/aerospace students to train for a PPL.

Our first batch of Aerospace Engineering students graduated in May 2012. We celebrate with them in their achievements and future successes.
