NEWS!!

  • 3 January 2012 –TP signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC) to partner a flying programme for final year aerospace students to obtain their Private Pilot License (PPL) and strengthen their interest in pursuing a flying career.

  • 1 Dec 2010. Newly enrolled students are eligible to apply for the Temasek Polytechnic Scholarship. This is a bond-free scholarship worth $2,500 per academic year and is awarded to GCE O Level students with outstanding academic results. Students with ‘O’ level net aggregate <= 6 will be offered the TP scholarship at Temasek Polytechnic JAE Centre. Students with ‘O’ level net aggregate <= 10 will go through an interview at the Centre.

  • 25 Oct 2011. The first batch of students starting the Higher Aerospace Training in the Oct 2011 semester is currently undergoing internship training in reknown companies, such as the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), SIngapore Technologies Aerospace, Messier Services, Pratt & Whitney, Aerospace Component Engineering Services (ACE Services), and Wigetworks.

  • 10 Jan 2011. The intake for the Joint Admission Exercise 2011 has been increased to 120, up from the intake of 65 at the previous JAE in 2010.

About Our Course (JAE Code: T51)

If you want to passionately pursue a professional career or further studies in aerospace engineering, this diploma distinguishes from the rest by giving you the best possible training in knowledge and skills.

A long history needs to be backed up by quality and recognition. Our partnership with Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT) brings 60 years of experience into the curriculum. Every aerospace student in TP will be attached to LTT for practical training. Upon graduation, they will receive both CAAS and EASA certification which gives them a head start in any aerospace organization.

Our curriculum begins with strong fundamentals in mathematics, mechanical and electronics competency to widen your career choices and further study aspirations. As you progress into aerospace specialization, you will study subjects that are fully aligned to CAAS SAR-66 to shorten your path to become a licensed aircraft engineer (LAE).

As the only polytechnic nearest Changi Airport, Seletar Aerospace Hub and major aerospace companies, you are strategically located for final semester attachment to aerospace organizations and universities, so that you can seamlessly join the industry before graduation.

Students aspiring to be a pilot have several paths to realize their dreams. They can sign up with the Singapore Youth Flying Club obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL) or join the Aeromodelling Club to learn how to build and fly RC aircrafts. They can also join TP’s newest Flying Option, opened to suitable aviation/aerospace students to train for a PPL and take the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) exams.

How To Apply?

Please go to Temasek Polytechnic Admission Office to apply with the following JAE codes:

T51: This is a direct admission to the Diploma in Aerospace Engineering.

T06: This is a common JAE code for the Mechatronics and Aerospace Programme. You can opt for Diploma in Aerospace Engineering at the end of the first semester.

T56: This is the JAE code for the Common Engineering Programme for 9 diploma courses. You can opt for the Diploma in Aerospace Engineering at the end of the first semester.
