Newly enrolled students are eligible to apply for the Temasek Polytechnic Scholarship

This is a bond-free scholarship worth $2,500 per academic year and is awarded to GCE O Level students with outstanding academic results, CCA records and leadership qualities. In addition, recipients can participate in the Student Leadership Programme (SLP) in overseas and talent development programmes.

Mission

The Diploma in Aerospace Electronics aims to produce competent and conscientious graduates with strong engineering fundamentals and specialised skills in aviation electronics (avionics) to meet the demands of the aerospace industry.

About The Course (JAE Code: T50)

Students will undergo a curriculum that begins with broad based fundamental engineering subjects.  They will then progress to core aerospace engineering modules, practical skills training, cross-disciplinary subjects and technical communication skills.

All students will have the opportunity to attend a unique one semester attachment programme with Lufthansa Technical Training GmbH (LTT) Centre, a renowned aircraft training organisation recognised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).  Students will be trained by qualified and experienced LTT instructors in aircraft materials, hardware, maintenance and do hands-on exercises related to aircraft structural repair and avionics wiring.

In their final semester, suitable students may be attached to reputable local or overseas aerospace companies for higher aerospace training.  This allows capable students to transit into the workforce even before graduation, thereby giving them a head-start in their aerospace careers.

This diploma course will also prepare students for the 12 modules in the Singapore Airworthiness Requirements (SAR-66) Aircraft Maintenance License basic knowledge examinations (Category B2 -- Avionics) conducted by the CAAS.

NB: This course is offered to students only for the April intake of each year.
