Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition

SAFMC 2012

The Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition is an annual event which requires participants to design, build and fly their own flying machines, ranging from simple paper gliders, to remote-controlled and battery-powered flying machines.

Lately, have you ever notice that there is a “UFO” hovering along the narrow corridors and at tembusu in Temasek Polytechnic ?

This flying machine is not a “UFO”. It is a Quad-configuration vertical-take-off (VTOL) and landing flying machine proudly system-integrated by our Temasek Engineering School’s Diploma in Aerospace Electronic (AEL).

Our "Piro Flyer" team (Goh Jiunn Siong Nicholas,Melvin Tay Yu Liang,Yang Shoyn,Lim Jian Wei Mark and Sun Jiaxin) from Year 1 Aerospace Electronics (U1001) to clinch the Gold Medal awards in the recent Singapore Amazing Flying Competition 2011 for "Best Performance (Flying)", and for "Best Team Spirit".
