| In collaboration with NIE/LSL & 6 primary schools, this project aims to facilitate primary school student’s learning of the 3Rs - Recycling, Reducing, and Reusing. Using a Pocket PC application at a supermarket, students can take photos of products, compare product packaging, observe shopping bag use, and survey customers’ shopping habits. Subsequently they can compile a HTML report and upload it wirelessly to an online web portal. Within the portal students and teachers can comment on reports and post questions to National Environment Agency experts. |

| Document Approval Portal |

Project Supervisor: Boey Chee Kin Project Team: Khairul Effendy B Jumahat Lai Shuiling Muhammad Haidhir B Raub This project is to build a document approval process where day-to-day operations documents such as Purchase orders, Invoices, Expense Claims, even leave forms applications, can be electronic previewed and approval by approving managers. This project requires that students build a web interface, where approving managers can log/sign on with access rights and with the right authentication. Documents pending approval would be listed and can be previewed in a manner that is easily managed and self-explanatory via the web user interface. There will be electronics buttons to indicate approval, rejection, comments, rerouting of documents based on prevailing conditions. |

3 of our final year diploma students, led by project supervisor Mr. Boey Chee Kin, collaborated with TPS Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, working on a document approval portal project. The project group managed to successfully develop the project according to the company’s requirement within a short span of 4 months! During the project demonstration, the company was so impressed that they have written a letter of commendation for the group. |
