| This year we have 6 students from Diploma of Electronics getting into the final of WorldSkills Singapore 2008. We have 4 finalists in the Industrial Electronics Skill Area and 2 finalists in the Mobile Robotics Skill Area. Tan Kia Wei who was one of the finalist in the Industrial Electronics Category won the Silver Award. Let's Congratulate Kia Wei for his achievements. | TP Robotics Team comprises of staff members and students from Temasek Polytechnic's School of Engineering participated in TechX Challenge 2008. TP Robotics Team from Diploma of Electronics had further strengthen their capability in the field of robotics, particularly in real-life applications through participating in this competition. They had also taken this opportunity to learn from other participants in this challenge. TechX Challenge is aim to inspire and engage the wider community of engineers and technologists for defence and national security, and to promote interest in defence science and technology. |

SRG Competition 2008
ISCU has won a total of 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 3 Bronze medals at the annual Singapore Robotic Games (SRG) 2008, held from 8-10 Jan 2008 at the Singapore Science Centre. Click here for more info
Poly Student Research Programme (PSRP) 2008 – “Search & Rescue Robot”
One of the ELN/CEN project under RACU, “Search & Rescue Robot” won the Best Project award in the Poly Student Research Programme (PSRP) held in Feb 2008. This programme is organized by A*STAR and the team members of the winning project are Wee Teck Chew, Tan Tai Suan and Lee Yew Fai.
