Along with their Diploma in Integrated Facility Design and Management, students will be given the opportunities to obtain numerous certifications recognised by the industry: Facility Management Professional (FMP)# certification by The International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Fire Safety Manager (FSM)* certification by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)* certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI), as well as the Certification in Business Continuity Management* by Business Continuity Management Institute (BCMI).
# FDM has obtained in-principle approval for Recognized Degree Program by IFMA.
* Optional and subject to passing external certification examinations administered by the respective organization (examation fees to be borne by students).
The Course
New Facilities such as the integrated resorts at Marina City Centre and Sentosa, scheduled to be completed by 2009, will require trained and highly skilled professionals to manage their physical, aesthetic, environmental and engineering aspects. This course empowers you to tap into this lucrative new market.
Soaring skyscrapers, sail-shaped condominium towers, integrated resorts with classy hotels, luxury shops, fancy restaurants, conventions centres, glitzy casinos and a new waterfront promenade - these will be part of the new city centre at Marina Bay, expected to be completed by 2009. Together with the integrated resort on Sentosa, these new facilities are expected to change the way Singaporeans work, live and interact. In view of this, there is a need for skilled manpower to manage the new infrastructure.
As the first diploma course in Singapore dealing with Facility Management (FM) for the Hospitality and Tourism Industry and the Integrated Resorts, this course will provide you with wide and varied career opportunities.
These new and unique residential, entertainment, business and financial facilities require professionals who are specifically trained to manage these specialised facilities. This course will equip you with business, design and engineering fundamentals that provide a strong platform for the hospitality industry and the application of facility management in areas such as finance, quality assessment, planning, infocomm, automation, security and design.

Minimum Entry Requirements
5 GCE 'O' Level subjects comprising:
