Skill Area: IT - PC & Network Support Yuan Jian has been looking forward to represent Temasek Polytechnic in this WorldSkills Competition for a long time. He waited patiently for the Qualifying Rounds, and put on a stirring performance to sail right into the finals. He emphatically announced “I am going to win the gold medal” while celebrating with this teammates after getting through the Qualifying Rounds. “I’ve learned a lot about Cisco networking technologies. There is just so much to learn in practical and systems configuration,” exclaimed this student from the Diploma in Info-Communications. In fact, he intends to study even after office hours and on weekends to improve his networking skills and another aspect of the competition category: the Linux operating system. “Learning the Linux operating system is more a challenging task. Although I am not so well versed initially, I am beginning to master it,” he said. |
