Mission

The diploma in 3D Interactive Media Technology aims to equip students with strong foundation in engineering knowledge; digital media design concepts, interactive 3D visualisation and simulation in the Interactive Digital Media (IDM) industry.

About The Course (JAE Code: T49)

3D Interactive Media Technology is unique in that students are given opportunities to express their creativity while also trained to be technically competent in related fields.  Staffs from Temasek Polytechnic, School of Design and School of Engineering are involved in the delivery of the curriculum.

In this course, you will be equipped to create and use various 3D applications, and learn to harness such innovative technologies to create exciting interactive visual simulations.  You will also learn how to integrate and link the virtual world to life through the use of hardware and software systems.  Over the three years, the following course structure is specially crafted and designed for specialist trained to work in this area:

The training is therefore specially designed to be multi-discipline, so as to ensure that students graduated from the course will be able to work in different industries. Throughout the three years, students will be given opportunities to work on assignments and projects, building up their knowledge and portfolios, thus preparing them for the workforce or further studies.

With the broad fundamentals, graduate from the course may choose to further their career in the creative & design sector or in the technical sector.
