In School of Engineering, students are expected to adhere to the TP’s disciplinary policy strictly.
Student offences are categorized into 3 categories, namely, Category 1, Category 2 and Academic-related offences.
CAT 1 Offences are serious offence that require investigation by the School Disciplinary Committee.

Theft
Creating nuisance/bringing disrepute TP
Pornography
Vandalism & mischief
Insubordination & non-compliance to regulations
Fighting, rioting & assault
Sexual assault & outrage of modesty
Drug related offences on campus
Unauthorized soliciting of funds & selling of products
Imprisonment cases (police cases)
CAT 2 Offences
Dress code violation
Littering
Smoking
Gambling & card playing
Computer-related offences
Trespassing into unauthorized areas
Academic–related Offences
Cheating on exams: All subjects taken in that semester would be marked as ‘FAIL’. Students will not be permitted to take any supplementary examination or assessment.
Cheating on coursework: Students who are caught for cheating on coursework will be given “Zero” for the affected component of the subject.
Plagiarism: Disciplinary action taken will depend on severity and range of offence and can result in component failure to removal from course.
First offence - the coursework component will be marked as “Failed”.
Second offence – “Fail” grade will be given for the subject.
Third offence - the student will face a suspension/dismissal.
