FAST in Temasek Engineering School

FAST is the acronym for the Flexible Academic System for Temasek, the new credit-based academic system that TP has adopted starting July 2002. This is a new academic model which will offer greater flexibility and choices to students.

The Flexible Academic System for Temasek Engineering adopts a broad engineering education approach. All subjects and/or modules offered are grouped into categories:

• TP CORE SUBJECTS - to develop desired qualities as envisioned in the TP graduate profile;
  
  
• DIPLOMA SUBJECTS - to provide students with the necessary technical training, based on engineering fundamentals, breadth and depth of technical areas;
  
  
• CROSS-DISCIPLINARY SUBJECTS - to provide students with the flexibility of studying other areas of interest outside their own areas of specialization for personal and professional development
